Nyaribari Chache MP Zaheer Jhanda revealed that he would be table a bill to increase tax on makeup and beauty products.
“I am going to introduce a bill next week that will increase tax on women’s products like make up ,human hair and other beauty skin care products.
Zaheer said that the move would help the government to raise revenue. This is to ensure the government raises enough revenue for our country to move forward.”
Netizens have expressed mixed reactions at the move. Most of them feel like Zaheer is out to punish women because of his ex-lover Amber Ray. The two were married for close to two years before breaking up in 2018.
