Two days after activist Boniface Mwangi announces that he is leaving politics, his party has confirmed his resignation.
In a nine minutes video seen on his Instagram page, Boniface explained that he is quitting politics. So as to focus on his family and peace of mind.
The revelation came as a shock to many of his fans. Seeing that he is a man of the people. And is always willing to help people in any way he is able to.
Mwangi also said that he went through a very dramatic election in 2017. And since he has barely healed from it, he would rather not vie in the coming elections. See full story here.
On Wednesday 11th August, his party took to Twitter to make it clear that he really has stepped down.
We wish to announce that our Party Chairperson, Boniface Mwangi, has requested to stand down from his position as Party Leader, so he can take a break and spend time with his family.
The party went ahead to thank him for steering the Party thus far. And wished him all the best.

Boniface however made it clear that he will still fight for the rights and justice of other Kenyans as a common mwananchi.
