Affluent businessman Jimnah Mbaru has been sued by a 24-year-old woman seeking child Ksh 4.4 million in child support for her son.
Elizabeth Nadupoi, the mother, through her lawyer, accused Jimnah Mbaru of appointing a putative father. She argueby giving power of attorney to the putative father to take care of his biological child, Mbaru acted illegally and invcontra contravention of the law.
So Nadupoi said she was involved with Mbaru in 2016. And their relationship brought forth the four-year-old minor. She said that Jimnah then instructed Eric Kaburu to be a putative father to the minor. And was supposed to remit Ksh 50,000 every month as child support but had failed to do so.
The lass also said that her advocates wrote a demand letter to Mbaru in July 2022 regarding child support. But he ignored it.
Elizabeth now wants Mbaru to comply with his parental responsibilities. Because he is a businessman worth billions and can support the child without difficulty.
Through Lawyer Suyianka Lempaa, the mother said Mbaru had also refused to have his name indicated on the birth certificate thereby denying him the benefit of a biological father.
She wants the court to order Mbaru to pay her Sh320,000 monthly upkeep and a further Sh600,000 school fees per year at an international school which amounts to Sh 4.4 million.
