Comedian Eric Omondi has really been doing the most. And he has ostensibly managed to remain in the headlines.

So Eric in an attempt to fight for the Kenyan music industry has been championing for media houses to be playing 75% of Kenyan music.

The comedian called upon artists and musicians asking them to do better. And to uplift the music scene.

But instead, the artists insulted him in turns with others reminding him that his comedy career was long dead.

A week ago, Eric was arrested in town as he led a demonstration on the same. See article.

Eric on Tuesday 23rd, meet with Embakasi East area MP Babu Owino and Starehe MP Jaguar to discuss the matter.

Announcing on his Instagram page, Eric stated that the bill ‘Play 75% local’ will be tabled in Parliament on 24th Nov. Adding that the Bill will pass with flying colors. Because no MP in their right mind would refuse to vote for a bill that promotes and supports their children. See video

Taking to his official Twitter handle, MP Jaguar acknowledged to have received the bill from Omondi, with a promise that he will table it after following the due process.

“Received a petition from comedian @ericomondi_ on behalf of local artistes, urging local broadcasters to play 75% of local content in their line-ups. I will follow due process and table it in parliament.
