Former media personality and now entrepreneur Betty Kyallo has issued a press statement after rumors of her explicit video went viral. This was after an old video of her passionately kissing a mysterious man emerged.
Taking to her Instagram page, Betty shared a copy of a statement from her lawyers. Betty, through the lawyers, said that they had lodged an official complaint with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Director of Cyber-crime (CR&IB).
And that they were assured that any person(s) and/or blogs, social media accounts found guilty of originating the false news would be prosecuted
“We have been assured that any person(s) and/or blogs, social media accounts found guilty of originating the false news will be prosecuted.” Read the statement in part.
So the statement further said that the nature of the content circulating on social media platforms is false, malicious, and of the intent to tarnish the Betty Kyallo brand. Adding that her brand has served as an inspiration to many young Kenyans. And directly or indirectly created employment for many and it purposes to continue doing so.
“The aforementioned content is in no way a representation of the Betty Kyallo brand.”
Betty had earlier taken to her Instagram to clear the air noting that she had no time to be trending.
