Tanzanian singer Benpol today issued his Kenyan ex-wife Anerlisa Muigai an apology for dragging her into his shenanigans.
The two have been making headlines throughout last week. This was after Benpol took to an interview to talk about his marriage. Speaking to veteran blogger Millard Ayo, the singer revealed that he di not enjoy hhis marriage to Anerlisa. Read article.
Anerlisa who decided not to take the disrespect lying down decided to share screenshots of Benpol’s messages to her. In the screenshots, the singer is seen repeatedly texting Anerlisa begging to work things out.

On Sunday morning, Anerlisa made her final remarks regarding the matter. She made it clear that she would not engage in a back and forth with her ex-husband. And requested him to do the same.

Taking to his official Instagram page, Benpol publicly apologized to Anerlisa.
“I want to apologize for the things I said about my marriage during my series of interviews with Millard Ayo, which started broadcasting on the 13th of January, 2023. My intention was never to hurt but to share my experience of the marriage, an experience I take full responsibility for,” he said.
Ben added that he wanted to articulate how it affected his mental health. He said he will be mindful in speaking about the topic and his experience.
“However, I recognize that my words were hurtful to my ex-wife and I apologize to her and to the public. While I do want to continue to talk about mental health and speak about my experiences, I will strive to do so in a way that is more mindful and more constructive,” he said.
