Kenyan actor and film director Philip Karanja, also known as Phil Director, has addressed speculations surrounding the sale of a BMW X3 car he had previously gifted to his ex-wife, Kate Actress. Contrary to rumors suggesting a post-breakup repossession, Phil Director clarified that the decision to sell the car was mutual, urging bloggers to refrain from spreading false narratives.
“I acknowledge that blogs are to be sold, and you had your fun. I wish to officially document that the vehicle was sold with mutual consent, and there are no disputes with Kate, contrary to nay portrayals otherwise.”
Phil Director stated via Instagram stories.
The renowned director had gifted the BMW to Kate Actress in January, just a month after the actress gave birth to their daughter in December 2019.
“Every push has been rewarded. God says try me! Do your part! Mama K 2020, let’s ride,”

Phil Karanja Regrets Purchasing Car
In an interview with the Nairobian, Phil Director conveyed his regret over the purchase of the BMW X3, citing the exorbitant maintenance costs that were significantly impacting his financial stability. Recognizing the financial strain, he decided to sell the car and has opted to resume using Uber for transportation
“I love cars a lot, and so I was young and foolish, and I spent so much on my car, and it has been a very expensive journey to maintain. I am like, that is a car I would have used wisely somewhere. I sold it. I have decided to go back to Uber.”
The film director stated.
