The formerly amicable rapport between Tiwa Savage and Davido has soured after Tiwa Savage filed a petition against Davido. In the petition, she outlined her apprehensions regarding alleged threats against her life.
“I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing situation involving myself, Tiwa Savage and Davido, whose actions are unethical and can be viewed as a direct threat to my rights to life, privacy and dignity of my person”
The petition reads in part.
Furthermore, Tiwa Savage expressed genuine concern for her safety and that of her family. And she called upon the Nigerian Police Force to hold Davido accountable should any harm occur.
“I, therefore, would like to make this complaint and to state that in the event that anything untoward or harmful were to happen to me or any member of my family, hold MR. DAVID ADELEKE responsible.“

The Bone of Contention
The tension between Tiwa Savage and Davido escalated after she shared an Instagram post featuring Davido’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, on December 23, 2023.
Davido reportedly accused her of provoking him, leading to direct threats against her privacy and dignity.
“On the 23rd of December, I made a post which included myself and Sophia Momodu on my Instagram Story. and Davido sent messages to my manager, that I shouldn’t worry and should never say a word to him and that I was taunting him.”
The petition read.
In response to Davido’s accusations, Tiwa Savage asserted that she had supported him during challenging times, including the loss of his son.
“I feel like I have been there for him and his daughter, Imade and more importantly when he lost his son.“
Tiwa Savage expressed.
However, she became a target of his displeasure due to her continued relationship with Sophia Momodu, with whom Davido is currently having problems.
“Davido is upset that I chose to maintain a relationship with Sophia Momodu, who he’s having issues with.”
She stated.
Apparently, Davido also threatened the songstress through their mutual connections.
“He has also told our mutual connections to warn me to “be careful in Lagos because he was going to f**k me up.”
