Controversial singer Willy Paul on Thursday announced that he was dropping his INFAMOUS nickname ‘bwana mkunaji’.

Willy Paul has constantly been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. And seeing that he has not been making headlines for the last few days decided to make the unsought announcement.

So in an Instagram post, Willy said that the name is evil. And he does not want to be associated with it at all.

Morning fam, would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know that from today hence forth I will not be using the name ” MKUNAJI ” it’s evil and I don’t want to be associated with it! 

he wrote in part.

The Lamba Nyonyo hitmaker went on to add that since he embraced the name, his life has been full of chaos and problems. Thus, if you are indeed his true fan, stop calling him mkunaji.

Pozze, as he is fondly referred to, adopted the song after releasing a song titled hallelujah featuring Tanzanian singer Nandy.

Bwana Mkunaji, sorry, Willy has been using the name since then publicly. And his fans already got used to calling him so.

video release postponed

Also in the announcement, the singer said that he was postponing the release of his song Toto. Some fans noted that he probably postponed the release to give room and space for Khaligraph to drop his highly anticipated gospel song featuring Nyashinski which is expected to drop today.
