Robin Njogu the managing editor of the radio news section at Royal Media Services is dead.
His family stated that the celebrated journalist passed away while receiving treatment at the Agha Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
As a result, Robin has been mourned as a journalist who contributed greatly to the growth of radio news in Kenya.
Njogu was a part of a fifteen-member task force on the improvement of government information. And Public Communications appointed by the ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru.
Mucheru announced Robin’s demise mentioning that he was saddened by his loss.
I’m saddened to learn of the passing of Robin Njogu and his mum. He was a consummate journalist and contributed heavily to the development of radio news in the country. So sad liss for his young family, RMS, and the media fraternity in the country. May God comfort his family. Said Mucheru.
So his death came barely a day after his mother passed on. And condolences messages to his family are still overflowing on social media.
