Well, parents can now breathe in peace and worry less about the security of their children. Because children serial killer Masten Wanjala was murdered by an angry mob in Bungoma.
Masten who has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons escaped from police custody on Wednesday, under unknown circumstances. See article.
Wanjala was locked up after confessing to having killed thirteen minors. And he was set to answer 13 counts of murder.
Kenyans have been on the lookout because Wanjala could have been spotted anywhere.
So news making headlines now is that parents have nothing more to worry about the serial killer. Because he is no more.
The area chief Boniface Ndiera confirmed the news saying that he received a phone call from one of the residents saying that Masteb had been spotted.
Reports have it that the murderer was potted by school-going kids who recognized him and ran to the police. These are some amazing kids, right.
So Wanjala on realizing that he had been spotted ran away as angry residents followed suit.
When his feeble feet could carry him no more, he dashed into a home and locked himself inside. Meanwhile, the mob caught up with him thirsty for his blood.
“Wananchi waliokuwa na hamaki walivunja mlango na wakamtoa nje and within two seconds.. walikuwa wamemuua tayari,”
said the area chief
