Horrific news making headlines this morning is that a police officer identified as Constable Benson went on a shooting spree.
In the wee hours of the morning, the silent night was disrupted by sounds of gunshots that saw seven people dead.
So the officer first killed his wife identified as Carol by shooting her on the neck.
He then walked out of their house and began shooting aimlessly at innocent citizens with an AK-47 assault rifle.
Three of the people that Benson caused their untimely deaths were mourners who had just attended a funeral arrangement meeting of one of their loved one. Little did they know that they would meet their maker in that manner.
After shooting and killing the three young men, the officer turned and shot two bodaboda riders. One of them had woken up early to chase the bag as he was delivering loaves of bread at different shops. He passed away while receiving treatment at KNH.
Police officers based at Kabete police station after being informed of the incident rushed to the scenes. They found the lifeless body of Carol and also rushed the bodaboda riders to Eagle hospital in Kangemi before they were later transferred to KNH.
Young people are currently demonstrating at Kabete following last night’s incident.
