Former Chamgei radio presenter Parvin Sigei has broken his silence after being accused of setting his wife Scholastica’s Sh7million Nairobi house on fire,
In a viral video, Sigei opened up about the troubled state of his marriage and the events that led to the blaze, which he claims was caused by an electrical fault.
Sigei spoke emotionally about the challenges in his marriage, citing ongoing disputes and feelings of betrayal. “I’ve endured this for over a year. My brothers warned me not to marry her,” he said.
He shared his frustrations about feeling unappreciated, despite providing financial support to his wife, including helping her secure a job at the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).
What did Sigei Buy his Wife?
According to Sigei, he had consistently supported his wife financially, even buying her a car and the house that burned down.
He expressed that, despite leaving large sums of money at home, like KSh 200,000, his wife would still ask for more. “I’ve suffered for so long,” Sigei explained, noting that the financial and emotional strain had taken a toll on him.
Sigei’s frustrations appeared to reach a boiling point.
He admitted, “People see the house burning, but they don’t know what happened behind the scenes.”
However, Sigei also blamed the fire on an electrical fault, denying any malicious intent. “The house went ablaze due to an electrical fault,” he stated.
Parvel Sigei Wife Responds
Sigei’s wife, Scholastica, said that the authorities are handling the situation.
She claimed that, despite Sigei’s earlier statements about buying the Nairobi house for her, she has receipts showing she has been paying off a loan for it.
Scholastica also accused her estranged husband of not telling the whole truth and insisted that she was the one who lost the most in this situation.
