19-year-old songbird Nikita Kering took home two awards at the just concluded AFRIMA Awards.
Nikita beat Wizkid, Zuchu, and Nandy to win an award for the Best Artist in African R&B and soul. She also bagged the award for Best Female Artist in East Africa. (Zuchu fans are currently very mad about this.)
Sharing the news on her social media platforms, Nikita was beyond herself with joy as she thanked her fans.
However, this was not her first win at the AFRIMA Awards. Because in 2019, she won Best Female Artist in East Africa and Revelation of the African Continent Awards.
Other artists who won at the AFRIMA Awards include Shanah Manjeru who won the youngest award winner in the history of the event. And Sauti Sol won the Best African Group category.
