Kenyans on Twitter are in an uproar demanding the justice of one Sheila Lumumba who met her untimely death in a very gross state.
Sheila, a lesbian female, was gang-raped and brutally killed by six men at her apartment in Karatina town.
According to a post seen on activist Njeri Wamigwi’s socials, the six men broke into her house, took turns in raping her, and even broke her leg according to the autopsy. The sole reason for this bestial act was because she was a lesbian.
A clearly distraught Njeri went on to lament about the act asking Sheila’s soul not to rest in peace.
My heart is beyond broken. Sheila don’t rest, if you don’t get justice don’t rest babe, do not give them rest, curse them, that blood that you shed curse them, may they never know peace. May your blood follow them, from the raising of the sun and to the setting of the sun. Curse them. Haunt them, don’t let them rest, don’t let know peace. Haunt them.” She wrote.
A lot of LGBTQI members in Kenya have come out to allege that they have faced violence in different forms because of their sexual orientation.
