MISS MANDII AMONG LOCAL YOUTUBERS SET TO BENEFIT FROM YOUTUBE

Infamous mean girl and YouTuber Miss Mandi has appeared in the list of YouTube Black Voices 2022.

The initiative focuses on amplifying Black voices on YouTube. And to accomplish this mission, they provide the content creators with dedicated partner support from YouTube, seed funding invested into the development of their channels and the opportunity to participate in training and networking programs focused on production, fan engagement, and well being.

Last year, YouTube launched the YouTube Black Voices Fund to directly support Black creators and artists. So that they can thrive on YouTube. The first cohort just like this years, included 133 creators from across the world. It also announced the YouTube Black Voices artist class of 2022 to support and mentor black artists and producers, selecting artists from Uganda, Nigeria and South Africa. The company says this support helped them to hit new subscriber milestones and lead meaningful discussions.

The 26 African YouTube creators and grantees this year came from Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. Speaking about the announcement Youtube said “We’re are excited to introduce you to the 26 YouTube Black Voices creator grantees from Africa in 2022. Over the next year, we’ll work closely with these African creators.

The other three are Justus Nandwa who hosts a popular online show dubbed Shared moments with Justus. He highlights issues faced by contemporary African men and women by telling life-changing stories.

Chelimo Muvunyi alias Cheymuv, is a lifestyle content creator. Her channel is famous for highlighting various travel destinations and other lifestyle hacks.

Angel Nangayo is also a lifestyle content creator in her channel known as Angel Lately.

Mandii on the other hand is a self-taught chef who specializes in sharing Kenyan food recipes that she makes.

The win for mandii comes days after she was exposed by her former colleague and fellow kenyans for being a mean and cruel person. See article.
