The DCI detectives based in Kilimani earlier today discovered hundreds of millions of fake currencies.
Two suspects were arrested namely Samuel Maina and Boniface Mungai. And put into custody.
In a statement issued by the DCI, a total of 6.8Million fake US dollars, 490,000 fake Euros, and 6.4 Million Kenya Shillings was recovered stashed in metal boxes.
The DCI added that other items that were also recovered were jerrycans with an unknown liquid, DeLaRue branded badges and a seal. And all of these were suspected to be used in printing of the fake currencies.
Other various documents, customs reflector jackets, United Nations and National Treasury stickers were also confiscated.
