The Kianjakoma brothers Benson Njiru and Emmanuel Mutura from Kianjakoma, Embu were finally laid to rest today 13th, August.

The two brothers were found dead after police arrested them for being outside during curfew hours.

Later, their bodies were found at Embu Level 5 Hospital morgue after a thorough three day search.

Benson was a student at Kabarak University. And his brother Emmanuel studied at Don Bosco Technology Training Institute in Karen, Nairobi.

Eyewitnesses has said that they saw police best up Emmanuel. And so his brother went to help. But police descended on him too.

However, the police claimed that they jumped off a moving police van meeting their death as they were being taken to the local police station.

So the officers claimed that upon arrival at Manyatta Police Station, they discovered that the boys were missing. And they went back to look for them.

Apparently, they were found lying on the roadside with serious head injuries and taken to Embu Level 5 hospital where they were announced dead on arrival.

Their deaths caused an online stir as well as protests in the area where a police car was burnt down.

The interior CS Fred Matiang’i met the family on Wednesday and assured them that he’ll stop at nothing to ensure that justice is served.

Pictures doing rounds on social media show very sad mourners who attended the burial. And a very distraught mother. May justice prevail.
