Pop star Shakira new song titled Out of Your League about her ex-husband Gerard Pique cheating on her has broken YouTube records.
The video of the song has been watched more than 124 million times in less than 48 hours, making it the most-watched Latin song in that time period.
Shakira, 45, separated from her former lover, and former Barcelona footballer Pique, 35, in 2022 after more than 10 years together. The two have two children together.
Since the break-up, Gerard has been spotted passionately kissing his new love interest Clara as they appear to be far from hiding their new relationship.
Diss track
In the diss track Out of Your League, Shakira sings about Pique’s new alleged 23-year-old partner.
She says she is “worth two 22-year-olds” and compares the relationship to swapping “a Ferrari for a [Renault] Twingo” and a “Rolex for a Casio” in Spanish.
“I’m worth two 22’s. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio.” Pique has been seeing the funny side of those accusations and turned up for the latest round of action in his 7-a-side Kings League driving an £8,000 Renault car.
The Watch
Pique has already reacted to Shakira’s Casio dig by agreeing a partnership between Kings League and the watch manufacturers. He has been seen proudly showing off his new digital watch, while he also handed out boxed offerings as gifts to the other presidents of his 7-a-side competition – saying Casio products would “last a lifetime”, in what is considered to have been another dig at his failed marriage to Shakira.
The witch
It has been reported that the relationship between Shakira and Montserrat Bernabéu [Gerard’s mother] has turned sour after she readily welcomed her son’s new romance.
Twitter has been flooded with reports over the song and the scary-looking witch, which has been placed on her balcony, with many hailing her a ‘petty queen’
