Award-winning gospel singer Kambua Mathu on Sunday announced that she was departing from Citizen tv.

The mother of two has been hosting the Sunday morning show Rauka since 2010.

Speaking on Sunday after the show, the singer thanked all the people she has worked with during her time. Kambua has worked alongside the likes of Njugush and Dj Moz, to hosting with Timeless Noel, Laura Karwirwa, Dj Gee Gee, Holy Dave, Enid Moraa and the current co-host, Ken the Deejay.

“Just to remind you, life is about seasons. Seasons change and that is the beauty of life. Today [January 16] I’d like to take a bow and hang my boots and say ‘kwaheri (goodbye)’ to all of you who have allowed me to come into your homes for 12 good years!” She said.

You won’t be seeing me here but you will see Ken and other wonderful people who will continue to carry this vision forward,” added Kambua.

Kambua admitted that she has grown and learned a lot. And she can not wait to see what the future has in store for her.

I have grown, learned, and LOVED being a part of your lives. Coming into your living rooms every Sunday morning. Thank you! To Royal Media services, all my amazing colleagues, my family and friends, thank you for allowing me to be all God created me to be, without inhibition. I can look forward to whatever the future holds for me…
