There is a new banger in town dubbed Lewa. The song which is a collab between veteran singer Mejja and other upcoming artists (Parroty, Kabagazi, and OneBoy) is doing so well. By so well I mean, the rigorous Dr. Ezekiel Mutua praised it.
So the artists were set to attend an interview on 29th Thursday morning at Kiss FM. But shock on them.
Parroty narrated in an Instagram post which he later deleted how they were shown the door.
I can’t believe our Kenyan media are still discriminating against 254 artists. Just imagine Kiss100 called us for a radio interview today at 8:45 am only to get there with Kabagazi and Oneboy. And the producer told us that they only want Mejja ati sisi hawatutambui. (They don’t recognize us)…Read the caption in part
Jalangoo offers an explanation
The post by Parroty has caused so much reaction from netizens. As expected Jalangoo was quick to explain why events turned out that way.
Responding to a post seen on Nairobi Gossip Clubs Instagram page, Jalangoo had this to say;
Lakini wasanii…Their booking team booked Mejja and said he was the one coming not Parroty or the clue. Then the whole crew shows up wakaambiwa because Mejja is not there, only one person could come in due to the kiss covid 19 rules. Wakasema kama hawaingii wote interview ikae, wakatoka.
The comedian went ahead to add that he was surprised by Parroty’s post. Because they started playing their song on air over a week ago and even danced to it with Kamene. Yet the guys did not like the post or leave a comment.
Meanwhile, let the booking team say that Parroty and the rest will be coming to the show, not Mejja. Because you will book Mejja and keep on being disappointed. Also, keep on pushing your brand so that even if Mejja isn’t there wanasema Parroty ingia! Concluded Jalangoo.
