Recent developments have surfaced in the Roysambu bnb murder victim Rita Waeni‘s case, with the discovery of a human head at Kiambaa Dam in Kiambu County. Detectives found the head, believed to be Rita Waeni’s, wrapped in a purple blouse—confirmed by NTV Kenya to be the attire she was wearing on the day of her disappearance.

The human head was inside a paper bag containing a stone, sparking suspicions that the perpetrator intended for the bag to sink. Moreover, the detectives recovered the deceased’s missing mobile phone at the scene.

Rita Waeni’s murder was so grotesque that Pathologist Johansen Oduor said he was yet to encounter anything like the case in his entire forensic life.

Two Nigerians Arrested in Connection to Rita Waeni’s Murder
In the meantime, detectives from the DCI’s Criminal Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) apprehended two Nigerian men linked to the murder. The individuals, William Ovie Opia and Johnbull Asbor, were residing in Ndenderu, Kiambu, not far from the location where Rita Waeni’s head was discovered.

Intriguingly, both were in the country without legal status—William Ovie Opia had an expired passport, while Johnbull lacked the necessary documentation, citing the loss of the required papers.
A hatchet, butcher’s knife, a Kenyan national identity card, six mobile phones, three laptops, 10 SIM cards from various telecom service providers, and other items were found at the residence where the two suspects resided. The two are currently in police detention to aid the police with further investigations.
