Machakos county governor Alfred Mutua and his long time wife Lilian Ng’ang’a have announced their separation.
Taking to Instagram, the two separately announced their decision .
Lilian declared that the two decided to go separate two months ago. But they will still remain friends.
She also made it clear that she stepped down from being the Machakos County First Lady. Adding that it has been such an honor to be of service. As a result, Lilian will continue doing charity work under her Lilian Nganga Foundation.
The only constant is change and we must be present and aware to appreciate and embrace it… We had a good run and I’m forever grateful to God he brought us together.
Governor Mutua as well issued his statement saying that Lilian have been a blessing to him.

Mutua introduced his statement.
He went ahead to make it clear that the two decided to disengage two months ago. But they are in amicable terms and remain very close as friends.
Mutua also said that she will be a close advisor as he govern Machakos county and run for presidency. Because he trusts her sharp insight and heart.
She has always been my number one fan. Our love for each other is permanent but u think at times space and new direction are important. I thank God for bringing Lilian into life. And the many ways we have made each other grow. We have a laugh and sometimes a tear but all in all we have been a power couple and very happy. We celebrate life and are pleased that we have reached this decision in a mature agreeable manner.
Many Kenyans have applauded their move seeing that recently many couples end up killing each other instead of breaking up amicably.
Cheating rumors
Early this year, a lady had approached blogger Edgar Obare and disclosed that she was pregnant with Governor Mutua’s baby.
Edgar inquired about the same from the governor who proceeded to defend himself saying that the lady was only out to tarnish his name.
Later, Edgar was arrested and accused of training young girls to lie using names of prominent people in an attempt to extort money from them. The DCI having no evidence to support their claims released Obare on a cash bail.
New bae?
Recently one of Edgar’s fans reached out to him reporting that he/she had spotted Lilian Nganga spending some quality time with veteran gospel singer Juliani.
Pictures from her birthday party show her and Juliani posing suggestively. But the nature of their relationship is still unknown.
