The National Council of NGOs has prompted the government to review the current curfew hours from 8 pm to 9 pm in the zoned areas. That is Nairobi, Nakuru, Kiambu, Machakos and Kajiado.
A statement issued by the National Chairman Stephen Cheboi mentioned that the current curfew time has proved to be challenging for many citizens.
What was witnessed in Thika Road in recent days and also in other places in some parts of the country where law enforces clashes with citizens or people arrested for not adhering to covid 19 regulations is not pleasing. And this the need for all of us to be responsible in one way or another.National Chairman noted.
So many Kenyans were stranded on the roads in various parts of the city. Because the police officers used roadblocks to prevent them from crossing a few minutes before 8 p.m.
Kenyans have however been urged by the government to continue to observe the COVID 19 preventive measures.
