Ferdinand Omanyala was among the 2,881 constables who were graduating on 10th Jan from the National Police College. His wife, Laventa Amutavi, thanked God for the honor and asked Him for more blessings.
The athlete joined the police force in 2021 after he agreed to compete in track events for the National Police Service (NPS).
Omanyala was among the 2,881 recruits who graduated on Tuesday at an event that was presided by President William Ruto.

“The 25-year-old sensational sprinter has taken up a new role that will see him represent the National Police Service in future track events,” NPS said in a statement
The training process is said to have been tough and strenuous both mentally and physically, but the passing out parade will be a time of reflection and thanksgiving for the recruits. With the graduation, Omanyala now joins other outstanding athletes who serve in the police service among them David Rudisha, Vivian Cheruiyot, Julius Yego, and Ezekiel Kemboi.
