He was the brain behind Perma prints and the iconic Wajackoyah ‘weed T-shirts.’ Drae Frank, real name Franklin Ndirangu passed on November 21.Frank’s girlfriend and X user @Miss_Patriciah shared the sad news via the microblogging platform.

“My baby’s gone. I’m shattered. Thank you all for your calls, and I’m sorry for everyone whose call I’ve not picked. It’s been hectic… I will update you on everything soon.”

She wrote.

Frank’s death sparked a conversation on mental health in the creative industry. Additionally, the sad news emphasizes the need for supportive discussions. High-functioning individuals with depression often conceal their struggles behind a cheerful façade. This hinders others from offering the help they need.

Was Drae Frank’s suicide premeditated? Well, prior to his death, he made X posts that reveal a troubling disclosure. He asked for cremation in the event of death. The posts appeared as a plea for help. And an eerie foreshadowing of his impending tragedy.

“Mi nayo msinizike, mnicremate. (Do not bury me when I pass away. Rather, cremate me.)”

He wrote on X.

Drae Frank’s other post strongly suggested an underlying issue with his parents. The young creative referred to them as “toxic.”

‘”Honestly, I have found love. I have found happiness and peace. And as much as you all do not want to talk about this, toxic parents (are problematic).”

Following Frank’s death, his girlfriend, @Miss_Patriciah shared a poignant post via X. She portrays a struggle to cope with the unexpected loss. The couple were friends for 11 years, and romantically engaged for four. The pain of Drae Frank’s departure was evident in her words:

“Am still here wondering if it is a bad dream! You did not have to go that way. It actually hurts so bad.”

She stated.

Additionally, the lady expressed regret. She wished she cherished their last moments together more.

“Had I known Thursday was the last (day), I would have hugged you a little longer or stayed a few more minutes.”

The heartbroken lady said.
