BREAKING! TWO EXPLOSIONS REPORTED IN KAMPALA, UGANDA

News making headlines at the moment is that two explosions have been reported at Parliamentary Avenue in Kampala, Uganda.

One bomb was at the entrance of the Central Police Station while another one went off near the Parliament building at 10am.

So far two people, both of them police officers, have been reported dead in the blast that went off at the entrance of the Central Police Station in Kampala, Uganda.

Another bomb was suspected to be near Kooki Building in the city centre as police used sniffer dogs to search if there are any other unexploded bombs.

Parliament sitting has been suspended as the road leading to and out of Parliament Avenue is closed. And people are being evacuated from the nearby buildings.

Emmanuel Ainebyoona, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health, said in a Twitter post that least 24 people have been hospitalized with injuries sustained in the blasts. Four of them are critically injured, he said.

There has been reported 27 casualties. And seven critical conditions.

Forensic investigators are currently at Parliamentary avenue as security operatives continue to comb the scene for any pieces of evidence into the explosions.
