While the entire nation is mourning the loss of business mogul Chris Kirubi, activist Boniface Mwangi has claimed that the deceased once threatened him.
Billionaire investor Chris Kirubi died on the afternoon of Monday, 14th June at his home at the age of 80. Kirubi had been fighting cancer since 2016.
Boniface took to Twitter to disclose that in 2013 he was running a a website called Mavulture. And the site aimed to publish stories of powerful crooks.
So when they did a story on Chris Kirubi, he requested a meeting with Mwangi through a mutual friend.
The activist claimed that when they met, Kirubi threatened him saying ‘You know I won’t sue you but I can harm you.’
The political aspirant went ahead to add that they created so many foes through the stories they published. And that they received so many threats from those in power.
As a result, they decided to shut down the website. And he has no regrets.
Mwangi also shared the article, that saw Kirubi threatening him which was published about eight years ago.
Kenyans on Twitter however were of a different opinion and felt that Mwangi was lying.
Popular controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi claimed that Boniface is lying. Because he could have been bought by Chris and fellow vultures. Seeing that he (Nyakundi) has never contemplated shutting down his website despite severe threats and over thirty lawsuits.
