Hours after receiving backlash from netizens after a video of him getting his shoes wiped by an NYS officer surfaced online, Sports CS Ababu Namwamba offered the fellow a job.
The video that was doing rounds on social media elicited mixed reactions from netizens. Some felt that Ababu was being disrespectful. Since he appeared utterly unfazed in the video.

Ababu through his Twitter account announced that he had invited the NYS officer to dine with him. And even offered him a job. The CS also defended himself saying that the guy offered to clean his shoes after a tree-planting session.
Dickson Loyerer yesterday graciously volunteered to clean my muddy shoes after a tree planting session at Kenya National Youth Service HQ where he works,”.
Wrote Ababu.
“This morning we shared a cup of tea in my office, he gave me awesome NYS-instilled tips on grooming, discipline and skills. I have requested Loyerer to join my staff, subject to approval by NYS and Public Service Commission.” Ababu disclosed.
Loyerer said that they are taught grooming skills at NYS because cleanliness is next to godliness. “After you had planted trees, I looked at your shoes and saw some dirt. I decided to clean them because when our bosses have dirt it is our duty to make them look presentable,” he said. Loyerer even offered to fix Ababu’s tie which he claimed was not properly placed.
