POLICE OFFICERS LINKED TO THE BRUTAL MURDER OF KIANJAKOMA BOTHERS ARRAIGNED IN COURT

Six police officers who are linked to the gruesome murder of the Kianjakoma brothers have finally been arraigned in court.

The six of them namely corporal Benson Mbuthia, Consolata Kariuki, Martin Wanyama, Lilian Cherono, Nicholas Sang, and James Mwaniki were today arraigned at Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi.

This has happened hours after the Inspector General of police Hilary Mutyambai announced that investigations into the the matter was over. And those who were involved were suspended. See article.

Director of Police Noordin Haji also ordered the immediate arrest of the police officers who were involved.

So the six were today 17th August, presented before the magistrate Daniel Ndugi. And the prosecution which was less by Lydia Nyamosi demanded that the six be detained for fourteen days pending investigations.

We are requesting that the six be placed at capitol hill police station for 14 days to enable the investigation team to complete the investigations. There has been tension within the community and a lot of concern in the social media indicating that it’s a matter of public interest.
