Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba spoke out distancing himself from a lady who was harassing healthcare workers. In the viral video, the lady could be heard threatening to call CS Ababu Namwamba. The rowdy lady was in the company of a reportedly armed man at Port Victoria Hospital in Busia County where the CS hail from.
CS Ababu Namwamba said that the lady’s actions were against his values. And going against his commitment as a public service officer.
“I want to directly address the recent discussions surrounding my name. The actions associated with me do not align with my values or commitment to public service. I unequivocally condemn any behavior against principles of integrity,”
He stated.

CS Ababu Namwamba also vowed to take action to right the atrocious wrongdoing. As he is committed to re-establishing transparency and trust in his service to the public.
“I am thoroughly investigating these allegations and will take decisive actions to rectify any wrongdoing. My commitment to serving you remains unwavering, and I am dedicated to rebuilding trust through transparency and corrective measures. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time,”
The CS wrote.
KPMDU Boss Weighs in on the Drama

KMPDU National Sectary General and CEO Davji Bhimji Atellah also condemned the couple’s actions, terming them unlawful.
“This is rudimentary, illegal, and immoral. The attitude and actions of politicians and their cronies to threaten healthcare workers at their place of work should be curtailed.
He said.
Additionally, the Secretary General said that the harrassment using CAS Ababu Namwamba’s name threatened the safety of healthcare workers.
The safety of healthcare workers is threatened in such facilities. The perpetrators of this heinous act should be brought to book urgently,”
Dr. Davji Bhimji Atellah stated.
