Content creator Andrew Kibe officially launched Yafreeka, a social marketing app on December 3, 2023. He introduced the app at his Sh20,000-per-ticket ‘Graduation Day’ event. Yafreeka is a Youth Content Platform for Africa, offering exclusive content, merchandise, and live radio with the latest hits.

The former radio presenter is no stranger to controversy. His style is akin to misogynist American content creator Andrew Tate. Previously, Kibe’s content placed him at loggerheads with celebrities such as former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

Surprisingly, the ‘Graduation Day’ event only attracted a handful of attendees. Initially, Andrew Kibe aimed for 2,000 attendees.

“Our graduation day is going to be a full event. It’s only going to be 2,000 tickets because we want a manageable crowd.”

The launch comes after the 47-year-old lost his YouTube Channel on September 11, 2023. He had over 474,000 subscribers and thousands of videos.

Andrew Kibe’s channel was terminated because it violated YouTube’s terms of service. Dorothy Ooko, Google’s Head of Communications and Public Affairs for Africa, clarified this.

“While Andrew Kibe was restricted from using YouTube features, including uploading videos on his channel, he used another channel to get around these restrictions aka circumvention. Resulting in termination of all his channels.”

Doroth Ooko stated.

Kibe protested his mature YouTube’s channel suspension, and requested email evidence of violations.

“Sounds so pedestrian. Can you show me the emails of the violations? That is the procedure right? I mean, there is no way YouTube permanently blocks any channel that has over 3000 videos with no proper trail.”

He expressed.

However, YouTube never reinstated the channel.

Arrival in Kenya

Andrew Kibe

The Texas-based Andrew Kibe arrived at JKIA on Saturday December 2. And after more than two years since he relocated to the US. An entourage welcomed the former radio presenter who donned a combat-print headdress. However Kibe declined to address various bloggers who awaited his arrival at the airport.

The 2023 Social Media African Star of the Year Awardee toured Dubai before coming to Kenya. While there, he attended a meet-and-greet with fans and a highly publicized yacht party.
