Sarah Mtalii has accused her estranged husband Simon Kabu of having an affair with Maureen Wambui Kabu, the woman he claims is his daughter.
According to Sarah’s lawyer, Simon has been passing off Maureen as his daughter.
“Maureen Wambui Kabu, alleged to be the respondent’s daughter, is now engaged in an intimate relationship with the respondent.”
Sarah says Simon now lives with Maureen in their former home. She claims they act more like a couple than a father and daughter. She claims there is no DNA proof Simon and Maureen are related.
When did Sarah Mtalii Find out about Maureen Kabu?
Sarah says she was married to Simon for 15 years but never knew Maureen existed.
She claims she only found out in April 2022, when Simon went on a “romantic” trip to Amboseli with Maureen and took their two children without telling her.
In 2022, Sarah posted on WhatsApp that her children were taken without her knowledge. She says this was when Simon and Maureen went to Amboseli together. Sarah says Simon had never introduced Maureen before and believes he was hiding the relationship.
She also says women used to chase after Simon because of his status and money. But nothing hurt more than learning about Maureen.
Sarah also says Maureen played a direct role in the breakdown of their marriage. She claims Maureen caused emotional pain, neglect, and humiliation in her home.
Adultery is a statutory ground for the dissolution of marriage under the Marriage Act, and the respondent’s admitted intimate involvement with the said person directly supports and reinforces the petitioner’s claim for divorce.”
Sarah also accused Simon of transferring vehicles and property from their company, Bonfire Adventures, to Maureen and her tour company, Adequate Safaris.
In Court documents seen by this author, Sarah says these transfers happened after she filed for divorce and were meant to stop her from getting her share of the property.
Simon has denied all the claims. He says he is simply supporting his children and mentoring them. He is accusing Sarah of jealousy and says he is gathering evidence for a defamation case.
Sarah insists her marriage was built on trust and partnership. She now wants the truth to come out and for the court to see how Maureen affected her family and marriage.
