Nyali MP Mohammed Ali, also known as Moha Jicho Pevu, has explained the reason for his absence from politics for the next three months.

Moha hurt his knee while playing football during the EAC Interparliamentary Games in Mombasa in December 2024. He later had three knee surgeries, two in Kenya and one in India, to treat the injury.

In a post shared on his official X account on December 27, 2024, Moha said the surgery was successful, but his doctors advised that he would need at least three months of rest to fully recover.

Moha Jicho Pevu shared image recuperating from surgery.

Because of this, he has suspended all political activities and public engagements during this recovery period. However, he assured the people of Nyali that his office will remain open and that all services will continue as usual.

He also asked Kenyans to keep him in their prayers as he focuses on healing, saying he hopes to come back even stronger.

Moha was proud to represent Kenya during the regional games and spoke about how the event brought leaders together and promoted unity across East Africa. Even though his injury cut his participation short, he said the games were a great experience.
