But will the creator of the silhouette face arrest? This is a valid concern, considering recent incidents, such as the arrest of a young man wearing a t-shirt written “Must Go” in Nairobi CBD.

Well, Principal Secretary for Internal Security Raymond Omollo has clarified the government’s position. Speaking to Citizen TV, Omollo dismissed claims that the individual behind the viral silhouettes is under any form of investigation.

“There’s no need to pursue them,” Omollo said, expressing amazement at the creator’s ingenuity. He acknowledged the criticism embedded in the artwork but suggested a more positive outlook.

“Even though we may not like it, the creativity shows the potential of using technology in new ways,” he added.

hile the images highlight various shortcomings, Omollo encouraged the creator to consider monetizing their talent in a way that avoids ridicule.

“They could explore opportunities to generate income respectfully. There’s so much they can do with such skill,” Omollo noted.

This response marks a shift from the usual strict approach to dissent, showing recognition of creative expression in today’s digital age.
