Two women were on Monday evening arrested ferrying a consignment of bang from Busia to Nairobi.

In a thread seen on DCI’s official Twitter account, the two women Caroline Mariwa and Nancy Wangari were ferrying over 6 sacks packed with stones of bhang from Busia.

The bhang had been neatly arranged in a grey Toyota Wish, KBS 156S, being driven by one of the ladies.

Before their dramatic arrest, it was reported that the lady on the wheel gave the detectives on a run for their money.

She is said to have displayed all signs of a safari rally driver in the chase. In an attempt to evade Police roadblocks and deliver their supply successfully, the two women had taken the long Nakuru-Nyahururu-Nyeri-Murang’a highway.

However, after word got to the DCI, they intercepted the vehicle at Saba Saba, leading to the dramatic chase and arrest of the two.

The two were being arraigned in court today, Tuesday 8th. Their arrest comes days after two other men were sentenced to fifty years in prison for bang trafficking. See article.

Do you think it’s high time bhang is legalized in Kenya?
