Tiktok star and radio personality Azziad Nasenya was listed for the E! People’s Choice Awards, African Social Star category.
Azziad will be up against YouTube sensation and LGBTQ advocate Lasizwe Dambuza (South Africa), make-up artiste and beauty influencer Mihlali Ndamase (South Africa); TikTok star Witney Ramabulana (South Africa), comedian Madam Boss (Zimbabwe) and self-empowerment advocate The Odditty (Nigeria).
So the award show recognizes entertainment personalities who are voted for by their fans and the general public.
Announcing the great news on her social media pages, the 21-year-old was beyond herself with excitement as she asked her fans to vote for her.
Nasenya has gone ahead to request her fans to vote for her. Adding that she is the only East African nominated.

Official voting online and Twitter opened on October 27, and will go until November 17. The nominees will earn 25 points from this.

Last year, Kenyan comedian and social media personality Elsa Majimbo took home the award.
“I won the E! People’s choice award!!!!! I literally could not have done it without all of your amazing support,” Majimbo wrote on her social media handles, thrilled at the win.
