Truphena Muthoni, the brave 22-year-old environmentalist who hugged a tree for 72 hours, has captured the hearts of Kenyans.
She stood through cold, rain, and exhaustion just to raise awareness about environmental destruction.
And she took no breaks to eat, drink, rest, or even use the washroom, a testament to her sheer determination.
What she didn’t expect was the wave of love, gifts, and support that came her way once she completed the challenge.
Here are the seven main gifts she is receiving after her 72-hour tree-hugging feat.
1. A Million Shillings in Cash
OdiBets rewarded Truphena Muthoni with KSh 1,000,000 for her effort and bravery.
She also received KSh 100,000 from Solomon Maina to cover the cost of officially registering her Guinness World Record attempt.
2. A Fully Paid Holiday to Dubai
After standing for three days straight, she definitely needed rest.
Adequate Safaris initially offered her a three-night holiday in Mombasa, complete with beach relaxation, but they later changed it to a six-day all expenses paid trip to Dubai for two.
3. A Spa Retreat and Stay in Nyeri
When she returns upcountry, Bantu Africa Resort & Spa in Nyeri will host her for two nights, give her a full spa massage, and provide extra activities and organic coffee.

4. Skincare and New Clothes
Fechi Organics will take care of her skincare, helping her recover after the long hours outdoors.
Sir Bonnie Brands also offered to dress her for three months to help her look professional at events.
Triza Mamake Muraya added new undergarments to support her new journey.
5. A Plot of Land in Kilifi
Merchav Lands and Legacy gifted her a piece of land in Kilifi.
They are planting 72 trees on it, one for each hour she hugged the tree — before officially handing it over to her.
6. A Samsung Galaxy Fold
To help her record her work and keep her followers updated, Truphena is receiving a Samsung Galaxy Fold 7 from Dama wa Mobile Spares, a high-end phone that will boost her content creation.
7. Brand Ambassador Deals and Personal Support
Mokawa Group plans to unveil her as a brand ambassador for Silver Rock Hotel in Malindi.
ECOBANA Limited also wants her as their new ambassador.
On top of that, MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has promised her a one-year supply of sanitary towels.
Truphena’s bravery has done more than highlight environmental issues, she has inspired countless others in her embodiment of the Late Professor Wangari Mathai’s spirit.
Congratulations, Truphena Muthoni!
