South Africa is mourning the loss of talented actor Mpho Sebeng. The 30-year-old’s promising career was cut short in a devastating car accident on Sunday, May 5th, 2024, in Potchefstroom, North West province.

Sebeng’s family, in a statement, confirmed his passing and appealed for privacy during their time of mourning. They expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support but emphasized the need for space to process their grief.
“The family of the South African entertainer, Mpho Sebeng, are saddened to confirm, to the public and media, that their son has indeed passed away. Mpho met his untimely death in the early hours of Sunday, 5 May 2024, due to a tragic car accident in Potchefstroom.
Whilst the family appreciates the immense outpouring of love and condolences, the family requests some space to process the news,” the statement read.
Sebeng’s acting journey commenced at a tender age of 12, quickly propelling him to prominence in the television industry. Known for his remarkable performances, Sebeng garnered acclaim throughout his nearly two-decade-long career.
