Sarah Mtalii has accused her ex-husband, Simon Kabu of subjecting her to years of narcissistic and emotionally abusive behavior during their 15-year marriage.
The mother of two, who recently accused Simon Kabu of having an affair with his daughter Maurine, has opened up about the pain she endured behind closed doors.
Simon Kabu Accusations by Sarah Mtalii

She described Kabu as a narcissist who often disrespected her, excluded her from family life, and made her feel mentally unstable.
One of the most distressing moments she recalled was during a family vacation on a cruise ship. According to Sarah, Simon threw her phone into the ocean in front of their children.
The incident left their son so distressed that he began nosebleeding, which he does when under emotional pressure.
“My kids were so worried. That means they were seeing violence in the home,” Sarah said.

She also shared how Kabu would isolate her socially. For example, after church on Sundays, he would take the kids out and leave her at home without explanation.
Her children were left wondering why their mother was being excluded.
Sarah said it took her three years to fully recognize the pattern of abuse and start planning her exit. She realized that prayer alone wasn’t going to save her.
“I was all about prayers and could have died praying,” she said. “Don’t suffer in silence. Track patterns, not promises.”
In the same interview, she accused Kabu of trying to manipulate her into believing she was mentally ill, a common tactic among abusers.
She warned other women about such psychological manipulation and urged them to seek help.
“If you’re married to a narcissist, they will label you as mentally ill,” she stated. “But I’m moving on and I’m moving up. Watch me do both.”
Sarah also addressed a past claim that Kabu gifted her a KSh 30 million Range Rover. She admitted that she bought the car herself but allowed the narrative to protect his image at the time.
Now, Sarah says she’s in a better place emotionally and is ready to start a new chapter.
