Sarah Hassan, renowned actress, model, and movie producer/director, recently shared some eye-opening insights about her career path.
Reflecting on successes and challenges, Sarah Hassan revealed that the most significant risk she took was stepping back from acting in January 2016 to pursue film studies in Los Angeles.
Reflecting on this decision, she told Mpasho, “Going to Los Angeles to study film was quite risky.”
Despite the uncertainty, Sarah expressed gratitude for the growth it brought, stating, “But it is a risk I am glad I took because it meant I would grow in my craft and as a person so the benefits outweighed the risk.”
Sarah Hassan on Rejection, Motherhood
During the interview, the mother of one emphasized the profound significance of motherhood in her life, stating, “Being a mom, there are quite a few but I will say being a mom.”
Contrary to popular belief, Sarah revealed that rejection has been a part of her journey, admitting, “Many times,” when asked about being turned down for acting roles. This honest admission shows how tough it can be to succeed in showbiz.
Among her achievements, Sarah celebrated fulfilling a long-standing dream of becoming a brand ambassador for Dettol Skincare, saying, “I have never been a brand ambassador and this year I got to tick that off my list. It feels like a dream come true.”
