Ruth K is slowly but surely removing Mulamwah from her life, and that of her child after nasty break-up.

While she cannot change the fact that Mulamwah fathered her son, she has taken steps to cut ties where she can.

First, Ruth K has changed their son’s name from Calvin Oyando (Mulamwah’s surname), to Calvin Karegi Wanjiku, adopting her own family name instead.

She also created a new Instagram account for their son, changing the handle from @keilah_oyando to @Calvin Carey, effectively removing Mulamwah’s surname and any reference to him.

The account, once jointly managed, is now fully under Ruth’s control.

Ironically, Mulamwah’s other babymama Carol Sonnie also changed their daughter’s name after their break up.

Honestly, who wouldn’t? And especially after Mulamwah shamelessly posted Ruth K’s nudes on their son’s original account. And even though Mulamwah pulled them down after facing intense backlash, Ruth K’s nudes on BNN Premium.

As if the public humiliation was not enough, Mulamwah also sent the private videos to Ruth K’s father and brother.

Is Mulamwah Happy with Boundaries Set by Ruth K?

Mulamwah did not hide his displeasure.

Shortly after the name change, he posted “Mr. Calvin Karegi Wanjiku” on Instagram, a quiet but pointed response to being shut out.

It is not clear if Ruth has taken any legal steps, or if the change is just on social media for now.

And especially since in Kenya, a child’s surname can only be changed if both parents agree or if a court approves it.

Ruth K and Mulamwah’s relationship quickly went from couple goals to an ugly breakup in April 2025.

Both shared personal accusations online. Ruth said Mulamwah was emotionally abusive, manipulated her, and shared her private photos. While Mulamwah claimed she disrespected his parents and changed after becoming famous.
