Christian wife Milly wa Jesus has been the talk of the town after she asked Kenyans of goodwill to raise funds for her brother’s white wedding.
Taking to her Instagram page, Milly shared several videos and pictures from her brother’s traditional wedding before going ahead to do the unexpected.
In one of her stories, Milly shares a placard bearing a number to which Kenyans were asked to channel their contributions to.
‘Let’s be a blessing to this young couple and God will bless us while at it’ she wrote
Netizens expressed their utter shock at the plea. Because the Wajesus family are well known to portray a flamboyant lifestyle. In fact, the two recently acquired a brand new Discovery. So why was sponsoring their kin’s marriage hard for them?
In an attempt to defend herself, Milly revealed that her wedding was fully funded by their friends, family and even well wishers.
I’m so shocked that this is news! Our wedding was fully funded by friends, family and well wishers. I understand that there are people who do not need wedding committees. But as for me I’m pro coming together for young people to do things the right way,’ she wrote in part
Her husband Kabi Wajesus on the other hand, asked Kenyans to hurry up and contribute. But netizens were quick to ask him why such a simple thing was so hard for them. With others saying that they would only contribute if they got to share the partner.
