Media personality Oga Obinna has revealed that a bad contract cost him millions of shillings, preventing him from earning any money from his popular YouTube channel, Obinna Live Show, for six to seven months.
During an interview with YouTuber Vickie Vickinah, Obinna shared how this deal forced him to use a secondary YouTube channel, Obinna TV Extra, while his main channel made millions but yielded no income for him.
“I signed a deal with the devil,” Obinna said.
“I won’t get into the details, but I just got back my account four days ago. We were doing shows on Obinna TV Extra, while this page was making millions. If I was to give up, I would have.”

Obinna explained how his lawyer, Willis Otieno, helped him understand the gravity of the situation after reading through the contract.
“We sat down, and my lawyer told me, ‘Here you have messed up,'” he recalled.
Despite the setback, Obinna emphasized that his passion for creating content kept him going through the hard times.
“I was coming to work every day, and at the end of the month, I looked at the money coming in, but I could not even get a shilling, and it was in millions,” Obinna explained.
He also advised fellow content creators to always consult a lawyer before signing any contract to avoid making the same mistake.
Obinna stressed that passion is essential to succeed in the creative industry. “If you don’t love what you do, forget about it. The frustration will break you if you don’t have the passion to push through.”
