In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Kenyan hip-hop legend Nazizi Harji and her husband find themselves grappling with the untimely demise of their three-year-old son, Jazeel.
“It is with deep sorrow and deepest heartache that we confirm the passsing of Jazeel, on Christmas Day, December 25, 2023.”
Singers Nazizi and Wyre jointly stated.
The tragic incident occurred during a family vacation in Tanzania, where a devastating accident at their hotel claimed the young soul.
“We lost the young soul in an unfortunate incident at a hotel in Tanzania where the family was staying.”
The family conveyed.
Nazizi Loses Son
In an effort to find solace and commence the healing process, Jazeel’s body was transferred to Nairobi and laid to rest on Wednesday, in accordance with his religious traditions.
“He was buried earlier today in Nairobi, in accordance with his religion.”

Nazizi, one half of hip hop group Necessary Noize, appealed for privacy during this immensely challenging time. The statement pleaded for compassion and understanding from the public, emphasizing the family’s need for peace as they navigate through the mourning process.
“We kindly request everyone to allow Nazizi and her family the space they need to begin the healing process,”
