Michael Kennedy Claver, better known as Naiboi, has hinted at a musical comeback through an Instagram post, which he captioned: “It is exactly what you think it is. God is the greatest. Happy october.”

His fans are obviously excited with many of them commenting to welcome Naiboi back to the music scene after a long hiatus.

Why did Naiboi Stop Releasing New Music?
Up to 2019, Naiboi used to be the life of the Kenyan music party, dropping infectious hits like “2 in 1” and “4mulla.” But lately, it feels like the music stopped, leaving fans scratching their heads and wondering, “What happened to Naiboi?”

Back in 2014, Naiboi made a bold move, switching from his role as a music producer—known then as Rapdamu—to a full-fledged recording artist. This change opened the door for him to share his unique sound with the world. But despite his earlier success, Naiboi hit a roadblock that stifled his creativity.
In 2021, he took to social media with an honest confession, saying he felt like his “hands have been tied” for almost two years. “All I ever wanted is to release music for my fans,” he shared, clearly frustrated.
It turns out that some unseen forces were holding him back, leaving him in a creative limbo.
To make matters worse, he revealed he had a jaw-dropping 800 unreleased songs just sitting on the shelf. Imagine having that much music bottled up and not being able to share it! It’s no wonder fans were worried, as Naiboi longed to reconnect with them but felt powerless to do so.
Now, after a much-anticipated silence, fans are hopeful that Naiboi’s return will bring back the music they have been missing.
