Six people lost their lives in protests held in Mlolongo, Machakos county, and Kitengela, in Kajiado on Wednesday 12th July.
Three people were shot dead in Kitengela town and one person was shot in Emali while two were killed in Mlolongo.
Police said that more than ten others sustained injuries and are currently admitted to hospitals.
The expressway
Transport was paralysed on the Mombasa Highway as anti-government protesters barricaded the road at Nairobi Expressway in Mlolongo.
The protestors blocked the main Mombasa Road Wednesday and vandalized metal grills separating the Expressway.
So the motorists were forced to make quick u-turns on both sides after protesters started stoning them damaging several cars.

Police fired tear gas on protesters who defied a police ban to join a demonstration against tax hikes called by opposition leader Raila Odinga in the capital Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Kisii, Homa Bay, Nakuru among others.
Kitengela– Rowdy protestors broke into the Eastmart Supermarket branch in Kitengela town looted the supermarket, making away with goods worth millions of shillings following a battle with police officers.
Shops were shut and security was tight in the capital Nairobi, where police deployed tear gas against stone-throwing demonstrators in the slum of Mathare.
Police in Kisii County are on the hunt for a machete-wielding gang that was reportedly attacking youth partaking in anti-government demonstrations in the region on Wednesday.
Eyewitnesses say that the gang members were marauding in two white Toyota Probox vehicles and a black RAV4.
The Maandamano happened in more than 15 places in Kenya with businesses being at a standstill. It also seemed to be larger, more spontaneous, and widely spread than any other that has ever happened in Kenya.
