Kenyan actor Lenana Kariba has revealed that he is now a stay-at-home dad after moving to the UK with his wife.
In a recent Q&A on Instagram, Kariba shared insights into his new life and encouraged other men to consider a similar path.
Kariba, best known for his role in Selina, disclosed that he does not work in the UK. Instead, he focuses on raising his young daughter, Ava.
“I want to spend as much time as possible with her while she is small,” Kariba said.
He continues to earn from acting and content creation jobs in Kenya, which he does remotely.

Lenana Kariba Financial Dynamics
The actor explained that his wife, who works in a corporate job in the UK, supports the family financially.
“My wife’s job covers our needs here. I save my earnings from Kenya for our trips back and for future projects,” he noted.
Kariba said that this arrangement allows him to fully engage in childcare and family life.
Kariba has urged men to consider being stay-at-home dads if it suits their family situation.
“Daddy life is awesome,” he said.
“If it makes sense financially, you will have a great time watching your child grow.”

Life in the UK
Kariba also shared that the UK is currently their home due to his wife’s job. They are working on getting citizenship, which takes around five years. Despite the challenges, Kariba has not felt lonely and has made friends in their new city.
The actor shared that his wife Hellen is two years older than him and that they welcomed their first child Ava, in May 2023. The pair met at a friend’s house party.
