On Sunday, June 1, 2025, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen gifted a Toyota Probox car to Reverend Chemjor of the Africa Inland Church (AIC) Pombo in Baringo County.

The gesture was described as a “full-circle moment” by leaders present.
Murkomen could not attend the church service in person. He sent Mogotio Member of Parliament Reuben Kiborek to officially hand over the car during the service.
Kiborek shared the news in a Facebook post, calling the day one of reflection and gratitude.
“This is a generous gift from Murkomen to Reverend Chemjor, who once hosted him in his home during the 2002 mission,” said Kiborek. “May God bless them both as they continue to serve.”

Murkomen has long been known for his Christian values. While being vetted for Cabinet in 2024, he mentioned that he was once the Chair of the Christian Union (CU) at the University of Nairobi and also led CU fellowships across the country.
The gift came shortly after Murkomen vowed to intensify a security crackdown in Kerio Valley following the tragic killing of Catholic priest Father Alloys Bett.
This moment was not only about a car, but a story of faith, friendship, and appreciation spanning more than two decades.
