Kenyan actress Kate Actress and her bearded manzz Michael Mwangi have been in the headlines after cheating rumors about Mwangi spread online.
The couple has been together for close to two years and often posts photos and videos that fans see as relationship goals. But this image came under fire when claims emerged that Mwangi was secretly seeing other women.
The talk began after blogger Edgar Obare invited his followers to send in anonymous stories.
Some accused Mwangi of cheating on Kate with younger women. And that he has a penchant for “low budget young girls in the hospitality industry.”
Kate, who is currently on vacation in Thailand with Mwangi, brushed off the gossip. She told people to stop meddling in her private life and insisted she was happy with her partner.
“Na muachane na haka kamzee kangu kakinitesa nitatoroka tu (Leave my man alone. If he mistreats me, I will just run away). Love it here,” she said.
She also posted photos and videos from their trip, joking about the drama. “How your emails and shenanigans are finding us 😁. @livlifeandlearn sup lover 😝,” she wrote.
Mwangi, for his part, expressed his affection publicly. Commenting on Kate’s post, he said: “Here’s to exploring the world with you, queen ❤️.”
At one point, Kate revealed that Mwangi even considered taking legal action against the blogger. She shared a picture of him and wrote: “Hapa alikuwa anapumua kama kisiagi akipigia lawyers nikamshow mzee tulia and welcome to my world. Atazoea tu…Anyway sasa nawapeleka Phuket.”
Kate Actress has however made it clear that she is not opposed to leaving the relationship if the disrespect is loud, stating she has indeed left a relationship before.
Kate Actress, who has been going aura for aura with disrepectful fans, was previously married to Phil Director.
Despite the speculation, the couple continues to present a united front. Their posts from Bangkok and Phuket show them focused on enjoying their time together rather than dwelling on online rumors.
Still one can’t help but wonder, doesn’t these accusations bother or choke them?
